Garden and nature writing by Jack Wallington

Through my writing and photography I explore joy in the extraordinary natural world around us in regular columns, features and newsletters across the world’s media. Plants and wildlife constantly surprise and delight me with an endless source of wonder to share with readers. Please get in touch if you’d like to commission or collaborate with me.

Trained to RHS Level 3 with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, I’ve taken part in RHS Bistorta and Helenium trials plus my own peat-free compost trial and extensive tomato trials for Gardeners’ World. I’m in a lucky position to have experience growing most plants available to gardeners in south east England for over 30 years before moving to west Yorkshire, now with many more seasons under my belt. I’ve also designed and planted over 100 gardens, large and small from Scotland down to Somerset and Kent.

Wild Way newsletter

My current main writing project is my Wild Way gardening and wildlife newsletter which is a weekly blast of plant and wildlife information for free. If you enjoy it and want more, I also produce an optional monthly longer newsletter, which costs £25 per year for 52 issues. Plus paid subscribers receive access to the back catalogue of issues and 20% off books and seed packets in my online shop.
