Set in the corner of a three hundred year old small farm, 1,000ft up in the Pennine Hills of West Yorkshire, garden and nature writer Jack Wallington has been growing a garden to support wildlife.
Its position on the edge of the horizon, between peatland, grassland and woodland is a window to a forgotten world. A world experienced by every human on the planet for millions of years. Until that reality was carefully erased from our memories.
Through observation of nature and research, Jack has begun piecing that reality back together, tracing the roots of its loss. Trying to uncover who took what rightfully belongs to all of us and how we will take it back.
Stolen Reality is a short personal essay by Jack Wallington that fuses gardening, nature and climate. The booklet explores our world through the lens of a gardener, touching on time, evolution and ecology.
Illustrated throughout with 25 full colour photos of his garden and the surrounding landscape taken by Jack over the seasons.
Copies will be signed by the author. If you would like a personal dedication, please add it to the comments field on order.
